Meal Allowances. Employees assigned to be in travel status between the employee's temporary or permanent work station and a field assignment shall be reimbursed for the actual cost of meals including a reasonable gratuity. Employees must meet the following conditions to be eligible for meal reimbursement:

Meal Allowances.
9.3.1 Where kaimahi are required to commence work at or before 6.30 am and their duties continue beyond 1.30 pm or commences approved duties before noon and continues beyond 7.00 pm, a meal allowance as per their division’s schedule shall be paid. The meal allowance shall not be payable to kaimahi who receive a Travelling Allowance in accordance with the provisions of clause 9.2.
9.3.2 The employer shall provide free morning and afternoon tea to kaimahi.
Meal Allowances. (a) An employee will be supplied with an adequate meal where an employer has adequate cooking and dining facilities or be paid a meal allowance, in addition to any overtime payment at the following rates: For Nursing Classifications item 9 of Table 2; Aged Care Classifications classified at pay points “A” item 10 of Table 2; Health Professionals classified at pay points “A” item 11 of Table 2; Aged Care Classifications classified at pay points “C” item 12 of Table 2; Health Professionals classified at pay points “C” item 13 of Table 2; Home Care Classifications item 14 of Table 2.
(i) when required to work after the usual finishing hour of work beyond one hour or, in the case of shiftworkers, when the overtime work on any shift exceeds one hour.
(ii) provided that where such overtime work completed by a nursing employee exceeds four hours a further meal allowance at the rate set out in item 15 of Table 2 will be paid.
(b) Clause 22.3(a) will not apply when an employee could reasonably return home for a meal within the meal break.
(c) On request the meal allowance will be paid on the same day as overtime is worked.
Meal Allowances. When an employee’s required hours of duty span any two meal breaks, breakfast, lunch or dinner, the employee will be paid one meal allowance of $18.12 as at date of ratification and increase to $18.84 as at 1 January2025.
Meal Allowances. Employees on travel status away from their seniority block shall be entitled to meal allowances for the time spent away from their seniority block as follows: Breakfast $8.50 Lunch $10.65 Dinner $18.05
Meal Allowances. Subject to Article 32.02, an employee required to travel on business for the Employer may claim a per diem meal allowance in respect of meals, that are not otherwise provided, in accordance with the following: Breakfast $8.00 per day may be claimed when the employee has been travelling on the Employer’s business for more than one hour before the recognized time for the start of the day’s work. Lunch $15.00 per day Dinner $20.00 per day may be claimed when the employee is not expected to return to their residence before 6:30 pm.

Supervisors assigned to be in travel status between the supervisor's temporary or permanent work station and a field assignment shall be reimbursed for the actual cost of meals including a reasonable gratuity. Supervisors must meet the following conditions to be eligible for meal reimbursement:
Meal Allowances. (a) An Employee will be supplied with an adequate meal where the Employer has adequate cooking and dining facilities or be paid a meal allowance at the rate set out in Item 4 of Table 5 in addition to any overtime payment as follows:
(i) when required to work overtime after the usual finishing hour of work beyond one hour or, in the case of shiftworkers, when the overtime work on any shift exceeds one hour.
(ii) provided that where such overtime work exceeds four hours a further meal allowance will be paid. For Aged Care, Health Professionals and Nursing Employees this will be paid at the rate set out in Item 5 of Table 5. For Home Care Employees this will be paid at the rate set out in Item 6 of Table 5.
(b) Clause 22.4(a) will not apply when an Employee could reasonably return home for a meal within the meal break.
(c) On request the meal allowance will be paid on the same day as overtime is worked.
Meal Allowances. When an employee is pre-authorized to attend a function off premises and the function runs through the employee's meal period, the employee will be reimbursed for reasonable and substantiated cost of the meal.
