Meal Allowances. ‌ 9.3.1 Where kaimahi are required to commence work at or before 6.30 am and their duties continue beyond 1.30 pm or commences approved duties before noon and continues beyond 7.00 pm, a meal allowance as per their division’s schedule shall be paid. (b) Clause 22.3(a) will not apply when an employee could reasonably return home for a meal within the meal break. (c) On request the meal allowance will be paid on the same day as overtime is worked.

Supervisors must meet the following conditions to be eligible for meal reimbursement:
Meal Allowances. (a) An Employee will be supplied with an adequate meal where the Employer has adequate cooking and dining facilities or be paid a meal allowance at the rate set out in Item 4 of Table 5 in addition to any overtime payment as follows: (i) when required to work overtime after the usual finishing hour of work beyond one hour or, in the case of shiftworkers, when the overtime work on any shift exceeds one hour. (ii) provided that where such overtime work exceeds four hours a further meal allowance will be paid. For Aged Care, Health Professionals and Nursing Employees this will be paid at the rate set out in Item 5 of Table 5. For Home Care Employees this will be paid at the rate set out in Item 6 of Table 5. (b) Clause 22.4(a) will not apply when an Employee could reasonably return home for a meal within the meal break. (c) On request the meal allowance will be paid on the same day as overtime is worked.
Meal Allowances. When an employee is pre-authorized to attend a function off premises and the function runs through the employee's meal period, the employee will be reimbursed for reasonable and substantiated cost of the meal.
