VACANCIES - OFFICERS’ RANKS. As far as possible, the police department shall continue to anticipate and plan for filling vacancies in the officers’ ranks as such ranks are or may be established by Town Ordinance. The Town shall make promotions as soon as reasonable after a vacancy occurs.
