Vacation Accrual Rates. 1. Employees shall accrue vacation leave as follows: 2. Vacation shall be accrued based on paid hours on a pro-rated basis. For example, if an employee is paid for 40 hours in an 80-hour pay period, the employee shall earn one-half of the normal accrual. Paid hours include regular work time, compensatory time off, vacation leave, bereavement leave, sick leave, jury duty leave, personal leave, paid military leave, disciplinary leave and paid holidays. Paid hours do not include amounts paid by any other disability benefits.
