Twelve (12) Month Employees. The Manager of Human Resource Services, or designate, will review twelve (12) month employee requests during April of each year, the matter of scheduling their vacations, and will notify the Union and the employees of the vacation schedule by the following May 1. The Board will endeavour to accommodate each such twelve (12) month employee as to his/her preference, but as between two (2) or more employees who are qualified to perform the work which may be required by the Board, the senior employee(s) will be given the preference. Employees will be expected to make arrangements with their immediate Supervisor, or in the case of custodians and/or maintenance staff, with the Manager of Plant. Vacation may, at the Supervisor/Manager of Plant=s discretion, be scheduled at a time outside of the summer vacation period. A weeks= vacation pay for any twelve (12) month employee shall be equivalent to the employee=s regular weekly earnings.
