Service Award Date Defined. An employee’s Service Award Date is the first day of his/her temporary, provisional, or permanent appointment to a position in the County. If an employee is first appointed to a temporary or provisional position and then later appointed to a permanent position, the Service Award Date for that employee is the date of the first day of the temporary or provisional appointment.
