Vacation Credit upon Termination of Employment. 1. Upon termination of employment for any reason, an employee who earned vacation time may be granted a vacation for the time so earned not to exceed the maximum amount which may be accumulated as specified in paragraph E of this Article. Such vacation must be taken prior to the effective date of termination of employment, or in lieu of such vacation, the employee may be granted a lump sum payment for vacation time accrued to his or her credit not to exceed the maximum amount which may be accumulated as specified in paragraph E of this Article.
