Vacation, Sickness, Paid Personal Leave. Time away from work for these categories will be considered as hours worked (i.e., seven and one- quarter (71/4) hours per day; six and three-quarters (63/4) hours in July and August), and must be reported according to standard procedures so that credit may be obtained. Illness of less than a day will be credited on the basis of the length of the standard working day (e.g., an employee starting work at 9:30 a.m. and going home at 1:00 p.m. will be credited with a further three and three- quarters (33/4) hours to total seven and one-quarter (71/4) hours; three and one-quarter (31/4) hours to total six and three-quarters (63/4) in July and August). All employees should notify supervisors of unplanned absences in accordance with Article 22:03 of the Collective Agreement.
