Violence. (a) The Hospital agrees that no form of verbal, physical, sexual, racial, or other abuse of nurses will be condoned in the workplace. (b) The Hospital agrees to have in place policies and procedures to deal with violence in the workplace. The policies will address the process for dealing with violence and the prevention of violence in the workplace. (c) Any nurse who encounters such acts of violence in the workplace shall report the incident to his/her immediate supervisor. (d) The Hospital will ensure that there is a procedure in place to report all incidents of violence to the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
