Assignment of Duties From Another Classification. Where the Hospital revises the job content of an existing classification in such a manner that duties of another classification are assigned to it, the following shall apply: (a) An employee who occupies a position which is revised in accordance with this article, and who is physically incapable of performing the revised position, will not be required to perform those additional duties which exceed the employee's physical capabilities provided the employee's physician provides documentation to the Hospital of such limitation. (b) In the event an employee presently occupying a position which is revised in accordance with this article requires additional training to perform duties of the revised position the employee shall be entitled to a period of training, with due consideration being given to the employee's age and previous educational background, during which they may perfect or acquire the skills necessitated by the new method of operation. The employer will assume the cost of tuition and travel. There shall be no reduction in wage or salary rates during the training period of any such employee. Training shall be given during the hours of work whenever possible and may extend for up to six months.
