Common use of Visiting Appointments Clause in Contracts

Visiting Appointments. An initial Visiting Appointment shall be for a fixed term to a maximum of five years in a given Unit. The Appointment may be renewed for a further fixed term or terms. The total length of a Visiting Appointment, including renewals, shall not exceed eight years. Non-renewal of a Visiting Appointment does not constitute dismissal as defined in the Article Discipline.
