Common use of VOLUNTARY COPE CHECK-OFF Clause in Contracts

VOLUNTARY COPE CHECK-OFF. Upon receipt of a voluntary authorization in writing by an employee, the Board shall deduct from the employee's wage the amount authorized by the employees for the Union's Committee on Political Education. Such deduction shall be made on the last paycheck in October and forwarded to the Treasurer of the Union not more than fourteen (14) days after such deductions were made along with a list of employees from whose pay such deductions were made and the amount deducted for each. Union dues and COPE deductions shall be forwarded in separate checks.
