Weekend Afternoon and Graveyard Shifts. All employees covered by this agreement assigned or who have posted and are working shifts on the weekends shall be paid a premium as follows: Saturday Graveyard (midnight Friday until 8:00 a.m. Saturday) - 7 ½ hours worked for 8 hours pay plus $1.45 per hour. Saturday Day Shift - Seventy-five cents (75¢) per hour. Saturday Afternoon Shift (3:30 p.m. until midnight) - $2.45 per hour Sunday Graveyard (midnight Saturday until 8:00 a.m. Sunday) - 7 ½ hours worked for 8 hours pay plus $2.45 per hour. Sunday Day Shift - $1.70 per hour. Sunday Afternoon Shift (3:30 p.m. until midnight) - $2.45 per hour Monday Graveyard (midnight Sunday until 8:00 a.m. Monday) - 7 ½ hours worked for 8 hours pay plus $2.45 per hour.

  • Afternoon Shift If a second shift is employed, the hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of work between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 12:30 A.M. for which eight (8) hours will be paid and a shift premium of sixty-one cents (61¢) shall be added on to the classified hourly rate.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Lunch Time The “duty free” lunch time for assistants will be the same length as the building lunch time for students provided that the lunch is no less than thirty (30) minutes in length.

  • Christmas Day Easter Tuesday shall be observed as a Public Holiday in lieu of Easter Saturday and any work performed on Easter Saturday shall be paid at ordinary Saturday penalty rates. Should Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Australia Day or ANZAC day fall on a weekend, the following Monday, or other day as agreed shall be taken in lieu.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Monday CASE II An employee should not work more than 16 hours and must take an 8 hour break before continuing work. Therefore, an employee called in at 7:00 p.m. Sunday could work until 11:00

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Monday morning (2) The employee should not work more than 16 hours without an 8 hour break.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
