When Asked to Forgo Vacation. The University may, to meet emergencies, request an employee to forego all or any part of his/her annual vacation, but in all such cases the University shall pay the employee the vacation allowance to which s/he is entitled in addition to the standard compensation earned by him/her by working during said vacation period. In the event that the employee must cancel a trip associated with a previously approved vacation request and cannot recoup those expenses, the University will pay associated costs necessary to cancel the vacation provided the employee submits supporting documentation. The University shall not request an employee to forego all or any part of his/her vacation for two (2) successive years.
