Wild and Scenic River. The Settlement Agreement will provide that the non- federal Parties will pursue a Legislative Action to state that implementation of the Action Plan will not be precluded by a proposed designation under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.

Wild and Scenic River. The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act (Public Law 90-542) seeks to protect the natural character of rivers and adjacent lands. Each river within the National Wild and Scenic River System is managed by one of four federal agencies (U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, or National Park Service) in a manner that protects its significant natural values without substantially interfering with public use and enjoyment of these values. Designation as a Wild and Scenic River neither gives nor implies government control of private lands within the river corridor, and management restrictions apply only to public lands. Congress authorized 191 miles of the Rio Grande River between river miles 842 (Xxxxxxxx Canyon in BBNP) and 651 (boundary of Xxxxxxx County and Val Verde County, Texas) as Wild and Scenic in 1978 to preserve the free-flowing character and natural and scenic conditions of this river segment. BBNP is responsible for administration of the entire Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River, including 69 miles that are within the boundaries of BBNP. NPS management objectives for the Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River include: ➢ preserving the free-flowing condition within restrictions of international treaties; ➢ protecting the scenic, geologic, fish and wildlife, recreational, scientific, and other similar values along the river; and ➢ providing opportunities for recreation consistent with the river's primitive character. BBNP’s jurisdiction includes only that portion of the river within the United States. While the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and Big Bend National Park enabling legislation do not contain explicit language regarding binational cooperation, the fact that the Rio Grande represents the international boundary has significant implications for cooperative management. In order to meet the intent of the Act and successfully manage the river as a whole, it is necessary to protect both sides along the entire 191-mile segment. Management of the Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River thereby creates an opportunity for binational cooperation between Mexico and the United States.
Wild and Scenic River designations included? Answer: A few new wild and scenic river designations are included in the agreement. Each has previously been passed by unanimous consent in the Senate, been passed by the House this Congress, or been reported favorably by the House Natural Resources Committee. For rivers that run through areas of private property, these designations include buffer zone provisions and protections for landowners from condemnation – a first in the history of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.

  • OBJECT AND SCOPE OF THIS AGREEMENT The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties shall provide assistance through exchange of information that is foreseeably relevant to the administration and enforcement of the domestic laws of those Parties concerning taxes covered by this Agreement. Such information shall include information that is foreseeably relevant to the determination, assessment and collection of such taxes, the recovery and enforcement of tax claims, or the investigation or prosecution of tax matters. Information shall be exchanged in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and shall be treated as confidential in the manner provided in Article 8. The rights and safeguards secured to persons by the laws or administrative practice of the Requested Party remain applicable. The Requested Party shall use its best endeavours to ensure that any such rights and safeguards are not applied in a manner that unduly prevents or delays effective exchange of information.

  • Background Screening VENDOR shall comply with all requirements of Sections 1012.32 and 1012.465, Florida Statutes, and all of its personnel who (1) are to be permitted access to school grounds when students are present, (2) will have direct contact with students, or (3) have access or control of school funds, will successfully complete the background screening required by the referenced statutes and meet the standards established by the statutes. This background screening will be conducted by SBBC in advance of VENDOR or its personnel providing any services under the conditions described in the previous sentence. VENDOR shall bear the cost of acquiring the background screening required by Section 1012.32, Florida Statutes, and any fee imposed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to maintain the fingerprints provided with respect to VENDOR and its personnel. The parties agree that the failure of VENDOR to perform any of the duties described in this section shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement entitling SBBC to terminate immediately with no further responsibilities or duties to perform under this Agreement.   • Millwright Xxxxx be to assist and work under the direction and instructions I or A. He will work alone at times performing assignments in keeping with his training. During the course of his year, training must become proficient in good practices in the areas of fitting, aligning, lubricating and the operation of all shop tools and machines. In addition to the foregoing, he will be exposed to and the process of learning techniques required in trouble shooting key production machinery, pipe fitting, basic welding and machining but not be expected to display a high degree of proficiency in these areas at this point. Millwright Must be capable of performing the tasks of fittings, aligning, lubricating an able to operate all shop tools and machines. Must under direction become proficient in basic welding and pipe fitting as well as dismantling and reassembly of plant equipment. Under direction,will continueto develop skills in trouble shooting all plant equipment and improve his skills at machining part and be exposed to basic principles of hydraulics and pneumatic. He may work alone frequently, but occasionally will require direction and instructions form Millwright I or A. Millwright 11: be capable, without direction of fitting, aligning and lubrication and taking apart and reassembling plant equipment. In addition, is expected to be able to weld, operate shop tools and do pipe fitting as required. Must under direction, become proficient at effective methods of trouble shooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults in plant machinery. I: Must be capable without direction of performing all practices under Xxxxxxxxxx Must under directionbecomeproficient at reading and understanding blueprints, all phases of installing new equipment, laying out hydraulic and mechanical drives and meet speed and power requirements correctly. Xxxxxxxxxx "A": Must he capable without direction, of performing all under Xxxxxxxxxx X, and Must take full responsibility for work done by himself or his assistant. Must he in possession of a Millwright Certificate or a Machinist Certificate or Welder Certificate. Millwrightspresently employed in this classification will not be required to have a Certificate.
