Common use of WITHDRAWAL OF OVERTIME Clause in Contracts

WITHDRAWAL OF OVERTIME. (1) The Company may withdraw overtime without notice on any day where the Employee(s) concerned have been stood down because they cannot be usefully employed because of any strike or any breakdown in machinery or any stoppage of work by any cause for which the Company cannot be reasonably held responsible. (2) In addition, the Company may withdraw overtime without notice in the case of any industrial action which affects the work being undertaken by the Company. Industrial action shall include strikes, bans, limitations or any other form of industrial restriction. (3) The Company may withdraw overtime if it has good reason for wanting to withdraw the overtime and will provide Employees with a minimum of 2 hours’ notice if withdrawing overtime on any day.
