Witness/Subpoena. Employees will promptly inform the Employer when they receive a subpoena. A subpoenaed employee will receive paid release time during scheduled work time to appear as a witness in court or an administrative hearing, except as provided in Article 40.4, for work-related cases, unless they: A. Is a party to the matter and is not represented by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Washington, or B. Has an economic interest in the matter. Nothing in this Section will preclude an employee from receiving paid release time to appear in court or an administrative hearing on behalf of the Employer.
