Wood Surfaces. The Contractor shall: a. Use one or more of the chemical cleaning methods to remove dirt, grease, and oil, scrape off deteriorated coatings, sink exposed nails or screws, and repair surface defects. Sand to an even surface and restore to match the surrounding existing areas. Lightly sand or chemically treat hard or glossy previous coatings to promote the adhesion of new coatings. If the surface is chalky, wash thoroughly. Allow surfaces to dry completely before coating. b. The Contractor shall sand transparent finishes lightly between coats to achieve the required finish. c. Interior wood scheduled to receive paint finish: wipe off grit and dust, seal knots, pitch streaks, and sappy secretions with sealer. Fill nail holes and cracks after the primer has dried. d. Interior wood scheduled to receive transparent finish: Wipe off grit and dust, seal knots, pitch streaks, and sappy sections with sealer. Fill nail holes with a tinted caulking compound after the prime coat has been applied. The Contractor shall tint fillers to match the wood to be filled. e. The Contractor shall back prime interior woodwork scheduled to receive paint finish using prime paint. f. The Contractor shall back prime interior woodwork scheduled to receive stain or varnish finish with gloss varnish reduced 25% with mineral spirits.

Remove any excess cleanser or water after cleaning. • Never use abrasive cleansers. • Use a no-wax furniture polish to protect the finish between cleanings. • Chemicals in certain foods can harm the finish if left on for an extended period. • Clean up all food spills as soon as possible. Do not allow any spilled food products to dry on wood surfaces. • Clean with a damp, soft cotton cloth. • Never use abrasive cleansers or cloths. Use only soft cotton. • Plain denatured alcohol, used sparingly, is the best cleanser for counter tops. • Never place hot items on your Corian surface. • Never use a Corian or Granite countertop as a cutting board or food prep area. • Minor surface scratches or abrasions in Corian can be removed using 320 grits sandpaper or “0000” steel wool. Sand in a circular motion applying very little pressure. • Certain chemicals in food, such as the acid in tomatoes, can discolor tops. Be sure to clean up all food spills as soon as possible. Please follow these usage and maintenance guidelines for best performance and longevity. • Never let a vessel run dry for any length of time, as heat damage and possible discoloring will occur. Keep food product levels as full as possible • If using induction chafers or other water-pan vessels, always ensure the water level is constantly adequate. • As a general rule, always use the lowest possible power setting on the induction stoves to achieve your desired temperature. • After each use, clean the surface with a soft cloth and non-abrasive cleanser.   • Underground Tanks If underground or other storage tanks storing Hazardous Materials located on the Premises or the Project are used by Tenant or are hereafter placed on the Premises or the Project by Tenant, Tenant shall install, use, monitor, operate, maintain, upgrade and manage such storage tanks, maintain appropriate records, obtain and maintain appropriate insurance, implement reporting procedures, properly close any underground storage tanks, and take or cause to be taken all other actions necessary or required under applicable state and federal Legal Requirements, as such now exists or may hereafter be adopted or amended in connection with the installation, use, maintenance, management, operation, upgrading and closure of such storage tanks.

  • Underground Storage Tanks In accordance with the requirements of Section 3(g) of the D.C. Underground Storage Tank Management Act of 1990, as amended by the District of Columbia Underground Storage Tank Management Act of 1990 Amendment Act of 1992 (D.C. Code § 8-113.01, et seq.) (collectively, the “UST Act”) and the applicable D.C. Underground Storage Tank Regulations, 20 DCMR Chapter 56 (the “UST Regulations”), District hereby informs the Developer that it has no knowledge of the existence or removal during its ownership of the Property of any “underground storage tanks” (as defined in the UST Act). Information pertaining to underground storage tanks and underground storage tank removals of which the D.C. Government has received notification is on file with the District Department of the Environment, Underground Storage Tank Branch, 00 X Xxxxxx, X.X., Xxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxxxxx, X.X., 00000, telephone (000) 000-0000. District’s knowledge for purposes of this Section shall mean and be limited to the actual knowledge of Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Property Acquisition and Disposition Division of the Department of Housing and Community Development, telephone no. (000) 000-0000. The foregoing is set forth pursuant to requirements contained in the UST Act and UST Regulations and does not constitute a representation or warranty by District.

  • Excavation If an excavation shall be made upon land adjacent to the Leased Premises, or shall be authorized to be made, Tenant shall afford to the person causing or authorized to cause such excavation, license to enter upon the Leased Premises for the purpose of doing such work as said person shall deem necessary to preserve the wall or the building of which the Leased Premises form a part from injury or damage and to support the same by proper foundation, without any claim for damages or indemnity from Landlord, or diminution or abatement of Rent.

  • Environmental Tobacco Smoke Public Law 103-227 (also known as the Pro-Children Act of 1994) and Vermont’s Act 135 (2014) (An act relating to smoking in lodging establishments, hospitals, and child care facilities, and on State lands) restrict the use of tobacco products in certain settings. Party shall ensure that no person is permitted: (i) to use tobacco products or tobacco substitutes as defined in 7 V.S.A. § 1001 on the premises, both indoor and outdoor, of any licensed child care center or afterschool program at any time; (ii) to use tobacco products or tobacco substitutes on the premises, both indoor and in any outdoor area designated for child care, health or day care services, kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, elementary, or secondary education or library services; and (iii) to use tobacco products or tobacco substitutes on the premises of a licensed or registered family child care home while children are present and in care. Party will refrain from promoting the use of tobacco products for all clients and from making tobacco products available to minors. Failure to comply with the provisions of the federal law may result in the imposition of a civil monetary penalty of up to $1,000 for each violation and/or the imposition of an administrative compliance order on the responsible entity. The federal Pro-Children Act of 1994, however, does not apply to portions of facilities used for inpatient drug or alcohol treatment; service providers whose sole source of applicable federal funds is Medicare or Medicaid; or facilities where Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) coupons are redeemed.

  • Interior The insurance covers personal property normally contained in the vehicle and belonging to the owner of the vehicle or a member of his or her household. The insurance covers loss of, and damage to, the property if the damage occurs in connection with: - a compensable fire, theft, or vehicle damage - a sudden and unforeseen external event - theft by the renter - damage in connection with a traffic accident.
