Common use of Work During Vacation Clause in Contracts

Work During Vacation. No Employee shall be required to work during a scheduled vacation period. (i.e. Periods of paid vacation days and/or periods consisting of both paid and unpaid days where the unpaid days are contiguous with both the beginning and end of the paid vacation days.) However, should an Employee agree to work when requested during scheduled vacation, the Employee shall be paid at double the regular rate of pay. The vacation credits shall not be reduced for the previously scheduled vacation time that was rescheduled to work. Further the Employee shall be permitted to reschedule her or his vacation leave at a time mutually agreed between the Employee and the Employer.
