Common use of Work on Holiday Clause in Contracts

Each employee who works on a recognized holiday, except Christmas, and who works his regularly scheduled shift immediately before and after the holiday worked, shall receive his regular holiday pay, plus pay at the straight-time rate for the first eight (8)hours worked on the holiday.
