Work Out of Classification. (a) When an employee is assigned for a limited period to perform the duties of a position at a higher level classification for more than ten (10) consecutive calendar days (or the equivalent thereof for alternate or flexible schedules), the employee shall be paid five percent (5%) above the employee’s base rate of pay or the first step of the higher salary range, whichever is greater.
