Work Out of Classification. A. When an employee is assigned, in writing, by the OSP for a limited time period to perform the major distinguishing duties of a position at a higher level classification for ten (10) work days, that employee shall be paid at; the next higher step in the employee's current classification; the next higher rate on the compensation plan salary schedule if the employee is at the maximum step of his/her current salary range; or the first step in the new salary range, whichever is greater.
