Common use of Work Schedules and Shifts Clause in Contracts

Work Schedules and Shifts. Employees shall be aware that, in the course of their regular duties, they may be required to work on various shifts throughout the twenty-four (24) hour period of the day and seven (7) days of the week. The first shift of the working day shall fall between 2245 and 0715 hours. (a) The Employer's operations are continuous twenty four (24) hours per day seven (7) days per week and the Union recognizes that the Employer requires shifts of days, evenings and nights. (b) The Employer shall consider when scheduling shifts, an Employee's request for certain shift schedules. A request by an Employee to work permanent days, evenings or nights shall not be unreasonably withheld by the Employer.
