Written Code of Ethics. The Recipient agrees to maintain a written code or standards of ethical conduct that shall govern the performance of its officers, employees, board members, or agents engaged in the award and administration of contracts supported by Federal funds. The code or standards shall provide that the Recipient's officers, employees, board members, or agents may neither solicit nor accept gratuities, favors or anything of monetary value from present or potential contractors, subgrantees, or regulated entities. The Recipient may set minimum rules where the financial interest is not substantial or the gift is an unsolicited item of nominal intrinsic value. As permitted by State or local law or regulations, such code or standards shall provide for penalties, sanctions, or other disciplinary actions for violations by the Recipient's officers, employees, board members, or agents, or by contractors or sub-grantees or their agents.

All Contractors contracting for the procurement or laundering of apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, or the procurement of equipment, materials, or supplies, other than procurement related to a public works contract, declare under penalty of perjury that no apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, equipment, materials, or supplies furnished to the state pursuant to the contract have been laundered or produced in whole or in part by sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor, or with the benefit of sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor. The contractor further declares under penalty of perjury that they adhere to the Sweatfree Code of Conduct as set forth on the California Department of Industrial Relations website located at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx, and Public Contract Code Section 6108.

  • Ethics No officer, agent or employee of the Board is or shall be employed by Provider or has or shall have a financial interest, directly or indirectly, in this Agreement or the compensation to be paid hereunder except as may be permitted in writing by the Board’s Code of Ethics, adopted May 25, 2011 (11-0525-PO2), as amended from time to time, which policy is hereby incorporated by reference into and made part of this Agreement as if fully set forth herein.
