Xxxxxxx pure relationship theory. A Pure relationship refers to a situation where a social relation is entered into for its own sake, for what can be derived by each person from a sustained association with another; and which is continued only in so far as it is thought by both parties to deliver enough satisfaction for each individual to stay within it (Xxxxxxx 1992:58). For the purposes of this study, Xxxxxxx‟ pure relationship construct includes a number of qualities that are relevant to social behaviour. Pure relationships are not materially anchored to external social phenomenon such as extended family, pure relationships are voluntarily and internally organized and maintained by the people or parties themselves (Xxxxxxx, 1991:88- 89).   • Non-Exclusive Relationship The relationship between the parties is a non-exclusive one, which allows the Contractor and the Principal to engage in other activities, provided that all of the terms and conditions under this Agreement are strictly observed, including the avoidance of conflicts of interests. Notwithstanding the foregoing:

  • Scope of Relationship The parties agree that the relationship established by this Agreement is non-exclusive. Without limiting the foregoing and subject to the provisions of Sections 14 and 20 of this Agreement, each party hereto is expressly permitted, without the need for obtaining any further consent or approval from the other party hereto, to market, offer, sell, broker, underwrite and/or provide other products and services, including, without limitation, any other loan products and services and specifically including, without limitation, any loan products and services similar in scope and nature to the Loans and the related services contemplated by the Program Guidelines, through any of their respective distribution channels and the distribution channels of their respective Third Party Service Providers, including, without limitation, any of such distribution channels through which Loans are offered pursuant to this Agreement.

  • BROKERAGE RELATIONSHIP 59 4.1. If the Seller Agency box at the top of page 1 is checked, Broker represents Seller as Seller’s limited agent (Seller’s 60 Agent). If the Transaction-Brokerage box at the top of page 1 is checked, Broker acts as a Transaction-Broker.

  • Our Relationship With You We are an independent contractor for all purposes, except that we act as your agent with respect to the custody of your funds for the Service. We do not have control of, or liability for, any products or services that are paid for with our Service.   • Relationship to Award 2.1 This Agreement incorporates those terms of the National Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Industry Award 1998 as at December 2005 (as amended) that are set out in Appendix K. A reference in this Agreement to the “Award” means the Award terms as set out in Appendix K.

  • Parties’ Relationship The parties to the Agreement are independent parties. BNY Mellon, in furnishing the Services, is acting as an independent contractor. BNY Mellon has the sole right and obligation to supervise, manage, contract, direct, procure, perform or cause to be performed, all work to be performed by BNY Mellon and its employees, agents, independent contractors and other representatives under the Agreement. At no time shall any such individuals represent himself or herself as an employee of a Fund or be considered an employee of a Fund. BNY Mellon is not a joint venturer with, nor an employee, agent or partner of the Funds and has no authority to represent or bind the Funds as to any matters.

  • Relationship to the Award This Agreement shall form the complete agreement covering all terms and conditions of employment. It shall operate to the exclusion of any and all awards and supersedes any previous arrangements or agreements.

  • No Employment Relationship Whether or not any Options are to be granted under this Plan shall be exclusively within the discretion of the Plan Administrator, and nothing contained in this Plan shall be construed as giving any person any right to participate under this Plan. The grant of an Option shall in no way constitute any form of agreement or understanding binding on the Company or any Related Company, express or implied, that the Company or any Related Company will employ or contract with an Optionee, for any length of time, nor shall it interfere in any way with the Company’s or, where applicable, a Related Company’s right to terminate Optionee’s employment at any time, which right is hereby reserved.
