Union Participation The Employer agrees not to interfere with the rights of the employees to become members of the Union and there shall be no discrimination, interference, restraint, or coercion by the Employer or any Employer representative against any employee because of Union membership or because of any employee activity officially sanctioned by this contract on behalf of the Union.
Group Life (a) The Employer shall provide a mutually acceptable Group Life Plan with benefits equivalent to twice an Employee's annual salary, (for Employees aged under 45, three (3) times the Employee's annual salary) with a sixty thousand ($60,000) dollar minimum. The Employer shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premium on the sixty thousand dollar ($60,000) base and the Employee shall pay the premium for any insurance over sixty thousand dollars ($60,000).
Employee Participation The Employer will assist employees' participation in health promotion and health education programs. Health promotion and health education programs that have been endorsed by the Employer (Minnesota Management & Budget) will be considered to be non-assigned job-related training pursuant to Administrative Procedure 21. Approval for this training is at the discretion of the Appointing Authority and is contingent upon meeting staffing needs in the employee's absence and the availability of funds. Employees are eligible for release time, tuition reimbursement, or a pro rata combination of both. Employees may be reimbursed for up to one hundred (100) percent of tuition or registration costs upon successful completion of the program. Employees may be granted release time, including the travel time, in lieu of reimbursement.
Voluntary Participation The Grantee’s participation in the Plan is voluntary. The value of the Restricted Stock Units is an extraordinary item of compensation. Unless otherwise expressly provided in a separate agreement between the Grantee and the Company or a Subsidiary, the Restricted Stock Units are not part of normal or expected compensation for purposes of calculating any severance, resignation, redundancy, end-of-service payments, bonuses, long-service awards, pension or retirement benefits or similar payments.
Overholding If the Tenant shall continue to occupy the Leased Premises after the expiration of this Lease with or without the consent of the Landlord and without any further written agreement, the Tenant shall be a monthly tenant at a rent equivalent to 150% of the Monthly Rent and Additional Rent hereby reserved and subject to all the terms and conditions herein set out except as to length of tenancy.
Leave Sharing The SPS agrees to maintain a leave sharing plan that conforms to law. Shared leave will be used only for the purpose of maintaining salary and insurance benefits. The length of time a position is held for the employee’s return will not be extended by the use of shared leave.
Funding Obligation This Contract is contingent upon the continued availability of funding. If funds become unavailable through lack of appropriations, budget cuts, transfer of funds between programs or health and human services agencies, amendment to the Appropriations Act, health and human services agency consolidation, or any other disruptions of current appropriated funding for this Contract, DSHS may restrict, reduce, or terminate funding under this Contract.
Mandatory Participation Participation in the Special Pay Plan is mandatory for all 24 eligible teachers.
