Abbreviated Resettlement Plan definition

Abbreviated Resettlement Plan means the plan titled “Abbreviated Resettlement Plan for Uganda Railway Concessioning”, dated June 2005, and referred to in Part D.2 of the Project, for implementing the involuntary resettlement of Displaced Persons (as hereinafter defined) on URC (as hereinafter defined) land;

  • If a subproject involves involuntary resettlement or land acquisition, the CAA is required to prepare a Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) or Abbreviated Resettlement Plan (ARP), as per World Bank Policy OP 4.12.If impacts are not known prior to the start of the project, then a Resettlement Policy Framework must be prepared, and once impacts are known a RAP or ARP must be prepared.
