Aircraft Incident definition

Aircraft Incident. An occurrence, other than an Aircraft Accident, caused by the operation of an aircraft that affects or could affect the safety of operations and that is investigated and reported.
Aircraft Incident means any event (1) causing damage, whether substantial or cosmetic, or loss of value, to the Aircraft that is not ordinary wear and tear (including, without limitation, destruction, loss, theft, requisition of title or use, confiscation, and taking), (2) in which the Aircraft, or any other instrument associated with the Aircraft operation, causes injury to any individual or damage to any property, (3) in which Aircraft use results in a fine, or (4) which results in an interruption of the Aircraft’s serviceability.
Aircraft Incident. An occurrence, other than an Aircraft Accident, caused by the operation of an aircraft that affects or could affect the safety of operations and that is investigated and reported. “Airworthiness Directive” or “AD”—A document issued by the AAA having jurisdiction over the Engines, identifying an unsafe condition relating to such Engines and, as appropriate, prescribing inspections and the conditions and limitations, if any, under which the Engines may continue to operate. “Approved Aviation Authority” or “AAA”—As applicable, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States (“FAA”), the European Aviation Safety Authority (“EASA”) or, as identified by Customer and agreed in writing by GE, such other equivalent foreign aviation authority having jurisdiction over the performance of Services provided hereunder.

Examples of Aircraft Incident in a sentence

  • In the event of an Aircraft Incident during a Lease Period, Lessee shall immediately report such Aircraft Incident to Lessor, to the insurance company/ies underwriting such risk, and to any and all applicable governmental agencies, and shall furnish such information and execute such documents as may be required and necessary to collect the proceeds from the insurance policies.

  • No third party beneficiaries are created, other than the rights of the Aircraft owner under Section 12 (pertaining to owner’s rights in the case of an Aircraft Incident causing Aircraft damage).

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, Lessee shall pay for repairs of the Aircraft when such repairs are necessary as a result of an Aircraft Incident during Lessee’s possession of the Aircraft or Lessee’s use of the Aircraft, other than ordinary wear and tear, subject to available insurance as provided in Section 8.

  • In the event an Aircraft Incident causes a diminution in value of the Aircraft, Lessee shall pay to the Aircraft owner the amount of the reduction.

  • A Flight Attendant requested or required by the Company, NTSB or official government agency, or court of law to be interviewed or questioned regarding an Aircraft Accident or Aircraft Incident investigation shall be released from her/his schedule on the affected days and shall be furnished free transportation by the Company and shall suffer no loss of MPG.


More Definitions of Aircraft Incident

Aircraft Incident means an occurrence, other than an aircraft accident, associated with the operation of a civil aircraft which affects or could affect the safety or operation of the civil aircraft;

Aircraft Incident means any incident to which the definition of aircraft accident does not apply, that is linked to the aircraft functioning and affects or might affect the safety of its functioning.
