Ambulatory health care facility definition

Ambulatory health care facility means a facility or portion thereof used to provide services or treatment that provides, on an outpatient basis, treatment for one or more patients that renders the patients incapable of taking action for self-preservation under emergency conditions without the assistance of others; or provides, on an outpatient basis, anesthesia that renders the patient incapable of taking action for self-preservation under emergency conditions without the assistance of others.

Ambulatory health care facility means a facility other than a physician's private office, incorporated or unincorporated, that provides medical or surgical care on an organized basis to patients not requiring medical supervision for more than 24 hours and that is not part of a hospital but is organized and operated to provide medical or surgical care to outpatients and charges a distinct fee for use of the facility.
Ambulatory health care facility means a free-standing facility that provides health care to noninstitutionalized and nonhomebound persons on an outpatient basis. For purposes of this definition, a free-standing facility is not located on the campus of an existing health care facility.
