Budget Centre definition

Budget Centre means an area of the University’s income and / or expenditure for which responsibility has been delegated to a Budget Manager, where any surplus or deficit made in one financial year is carried forward to be added to or deducted from the following year’s net budget allocation to the budget centre. Use of any such surplus must be in line with the University’s spendable surplus policy (see link at Annex C);

  • A Head of Budget Centre may, in special circumstances, grant a continuing or fixed- term employee special leave of absence on full pay not exceeding 5 working days in any one calendar year.
