Aviation fuel means all flammable liquids composed of a
Fossil fuel means natural gas, petroleum, coal, or any form of solid, liquid, or gaseous fuel derived from such material.
Coal means any solid fuel classified as anthracite, bituminous, subbituminous, or lignite.
Spent fuel means any fuel element or fuel component, solid or liquid, which has been used or exposed to radiation in a nuclear reactor;
CBM means Capacity Benefit Margin.
Transportation fuel means electricity and any liquid or
Fuel Gas means Gas used as fuel for the operation of the Transportation System.
Biodiesel fuel means a renewable, biodegradable, mono alkyl ester combustible liquid fuel derived from agricultural plant oils or animal fat such as, but not limited to, soybean oil. For purposes of this definition, “biodiesel fuel” must also meet the specifications of American Society for Testing and Material Specifications (ASTM) D 6751-02, “Standard Specification for Biodiesel Fuel (B100) Blend Stock for Distillate Fuels,” and be registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a fuel and a fuel additive under Section 211(b) of the Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. Sections 7401, et seq. as amended through November 15, 1990.
Fossil fuel-fired means the combustion of fossil fuel or any derivative of fossil fuel, alone or in combination with any other fuel, independent of the percentage of fossil fuel consumed in any calendar year (expressed in mmBtu).
Geothermal resources shall collectively mean the matter, substances and resources defined in subparagraph 16(a) and 16(b) that are not subject to this Lease but are located on adjacent land or lands in reasonable proximity thereto;
Geothermal energy means energy contained in heat that continuously flows outward from the earth that is used as the sole source of energy to produce electricity.
Chevron means Chevron U.S.A. Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation, and its successors.
Diesel fuel means the same as that term is defined in Section 59-13-102.
Ethanol means a high octane gasoline blend stock that is used to make various grades of gasoline.
Cogeneration unit means a unit that has equipment used to produce electric energy and forms of useful thermal energy (such as heat or steam) for industrial, commercial, heating or cooling purposes, through the sequential use of energy.
Feedstock Gas means natural gas used as a raw material for its chemical properties in creating an end product.
Transporter means a person engaged in the off-site transportation of hazardous waste by air, rail, highway, or water.
Petroleum refinery or “refinery” means any facility engaged in producing gasoline, aromatics, kerosene, distillate fuel oils, residual fuel oils, lubricants, asphalt, or other products through distillation of petroleum or through redistillation, cracking, rearrangement or reforming of unfinished petroleum derivatives.
Jet Fuel means aviation fuel, except for JP-8, Military Jet Fuel, which is kerosene based and meets
Biogas means gaseous fuels produced from biomass;
Refinery means a facility for the manufacture or reprocessing of finished or unfinished petroleum
Net energy metering means measuring the difference, over the net metering period, between (i)
Dyed diesel fuel means diesel fuel that meets the dyeing and marking requirements of 26 U.S.C.
cogeneration means the simultaneous generation in one process of thermal energy and electrical or mechanical energy;
Dewatering means the removal of water for construction activity. It can be a discharge of appropriated surface or groundwater to dry and/or solidify a construction site. It may require Minnesota Department of Natural Resources permits to be appropriated and if contaminated may require other MPCA permits to be discharged.
Undyed diesel fuel means diesel fuel that is not subject to the United States Environmental
