Section 7.8. 15 When kitchen facilities are used as a community service or by a renter, or for a school based event, and 16 the food service director determines that a food service employee needs to be present, they will be paid 17 for a minimum of two (2) hours or all hours of required attendance, whichever is greater, at the 18 appropriate hourly rate. If the work requires a food handler permit, the work will be performed by a 19 food service worker or the food service director. The hours will be offered first to the food service 20 assigned to that worksite, according to seniority, and then to food service workers district-wide, 21 according to seniority. The food service employee will be on-site for the supervision of the meal 22 preparation, service and clean up.
Section 7.8. 3.3 8 Regular drivers and transportation assistants may preempt one (1) day’s regular 9 assignment per work week to bid on one (1) extra trip not to exceed forty (40) hours per 10 work week (work week defined in Section 7.1). This precludes overnight trips that 11 would result in the driver or transportation assistant being off their regular assignment 12 for more than one (1) day. The district retains the right to shuttle, combine, or split the 13 extra trip after it is awarded because of a shortage of drivers, buses, or other unforeseen 14 circumstances.
Section 7.8. 1. 13 Work within each classification shall be limited to that classification. 14
Section 7.8. 1. 45 All hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be compensated at the rate of one 46 and one-half (1½) times the employee’s base pay.
Section 7.8. 1. 24 All hours compensated in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week will be 25 compensated at a rate of one and one-half (1½) times the employee's base rate unless employee 26 is on a 4/10 schedule as designated in Section 4.7. 27
Section 7.8. 14 Any employee who is injured while performing their duties for the Agreement shall be granted a leave of 15 absence on a year-to-year basis. They shall be entitled to reinstatement to the position, or equivalent, at 16 the time of the injury. Employees who are injured on the job may obtain additional information on 17 workers compensation from the Payroll Department.
Section 7.8. 35 Recognizing that personnel in the transportation classification present special shift challenges, the 36 parties agree that shifts shall be established in that classification in relation to routes and driving times 37 requisite to fulfilling tasks assigned by the Supervisor of Transportation; provided that all bus drivers 38 shall receive pay for one-half (½) hour per day for the purpose of bus cleanup and bus warm-up in 39 addition to actual hours of driving time. If there are thirty (30) minutes or less between assignments, 40 the base hourly rate shall continue uninterrupted. Drivers will receive a minimum of one (1) hour pay 41 for each Drivers’ staff meeting. Drivers shall receive a minimum of one and one-half (1½) hours of 42 pay for each duty call. A duty call is defined as any work other than the normal work shift and work
Section 7.8. 7 In the event of school closure due to inclement weather, plant in-operation or the like, the District will 8 make reasonable effort to notify employees to refrain from coming to work.
Section 7.8. 9 Extra trips shall be assigned on a seniority basis to regular transportation employees. The District may 11 and have refused the trip. Extra trips are posted monthly. Drivers wanting extra trips should attend an 13 wanting extra trips.
Section 7.8. 15 Recognizing that personnel in the Transportation classification present special scheduling problems, 16 the following procedures shall be implemented:
