Card Brand definition

Card Brand means any entity formed to administer and promote Cards, including, without limitation, American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc.; Discover; MasterCard International, Inc.; VISA U.S.A., Inc.; and VISA International, Inc., and in the case of debit Transactions, the debit networks.
Card Brand means Visa Canada Corporation and Visa, Inc., MasterCard International Inc., DFS Services LLC, UnionPay International Co., Ltd., Acxsys Corporation, the Interac Association, Amex Bank of Canada and their respective Affiliates, successors and assigns, as applicable based on the acquiring services we provide to you.
Card Brand means any operator of a payment card network, such as Visa, Discover, or Mastercard. Each Party will comply with the rules, by-laws, and standards of any applicable Card Brand (“Card Brand Rules”). In addition, each Party will comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (“PCI DSS”), to the extent applicable to the Party’s performance of its obligations under this [***] Addendum. Upon Marqeta’s request (no more than [***]), Client Affiliate will verify its compliance with PCI DSS, to the extent applicable, and provide the results of the verification to Marqeta in writing.

Examples of Card Brand in a sentence

  • Merchant’s refund policies for American Express purchases must be at least as favorable as its refund policy for purchase on any other Card Brand, and the refund policy must be disclosed to Cardholders at the time of purchase and in compliance with Law.

  • Merchant agrees it may receive messages from a Card Brand, including important information about Card Brand products, services, and resources available to its business.

  • Merchant will accept for chargeback any sale for which the Cardholder disputes the validity of the sale according to prevailing Card Brand regulations, or a Card Issuer or Servicer determines that Merchant has in any way failed to comply with Card Brand regulations or Servicer's procedures in accepting a Card and presenting the resulting Sales Draft to Servicer for purchase.

  • Merchant will comply with and conduct its Card activities in accordance with all applicable Card Brand rules and regulations.

  • A Card Brand may use the information about Merchant obtained in this Agreement at the time of setup to screen and/or monitor Merchant in connection with the Card Brand marketing and administrative purposes.


More Definitions of Card Brand

Card Brand means any payment network(s) through which Card transactions may be authorized and settled.
Card Brand is any payment method provider whose payment method is accepted by Vantiv for processing, including, but not limited to, Visa, U.S.A., Inc., MasterCard International, Inc., Discover Financial Services, LLC and other credit and debit card providers, debit network providers, gift card and other stored value and loyalty program providers. Card Brand also includes the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. “Card Brand Rules” are the bylaws, rules, and regulations, as they exist from time to time, of the Card Brands.

In addition, each Party will comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards 3.2.1 or newer (“PCI DSS”), and SOC and/or ISO 27001 regulatory requirements, to the extent applicable to the Party’s performance of its obligations under this UK Addendum. Upon Marqeta’s request (no more than once per [***] period), the UK Client Affiliate will verify its compliance with PCI DSS, to the extent applicable, and provide the results of the verification to Marqeta in writing.

Related to Card Brand

  • Card Network means a payment card network, including the network operated by each of Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

  • Card Issuer means the financial institution or company which has provided a Card to a Cardholder.

  • Cardholders persons authorized to use Association or Network branded cards.

  • Private label credit card means any charge card, credit card, or other instrument serving a similar purpose that carries, refers to, or is branded with the name or logo of a vendor and that can only be used for purchases from the vendor.

  • Credit Card Issuer means any Person (other than a Loan Party) who issues or whose members issue credit cards or debit cards, including, without limitation, MasterCard or VISA bank credit or debit cards or other bank credit or debit cards issued through MasterCard International, Inc., Visa, U.S.A., Inc. or Visa International and American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Xxxxx Xxxxxxx and other non-bank credit or debit cards, including, without limitation, credit or debit cards issued by or through American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. or Discover Financial Services, Inc.

  • Card Account means the account maintained with the Bank in respect of the Card;
