Card room definition

Card room means any building or structure, or any portion of a building or structure or any premises or place, wherein in return for any fee, charge, thing of value or other compensation, any person or persons is or are permitted to play a card game or card games. The term “card room” is synonymous with the term “gaming club” as used in the Gaming Registration Act (commencing at Section 19800 of the Business and Professions Code).
Card room means a use governed pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 9.46 RCW, 1973 Gaming Act, and licensed by the Washington State Gambling Commission that is an accessory use to a permitted restaurant or drinking establishment. Card rooms shall not offer slot machine play or other table games such as blackjack, craps, or roulette. A card room is not a casino. Card rooms can be open no later than 2:00 a.m. and they are not allowed to be located adjacent to or abutting the R-1, R-2, R-3 or R-4 zoning districts.
Card room means a business or enterprise licensed under the provisions of this Chapter for the playing of “Games” as defined in this Section.
