Care Aide definition

Care Aide means an Employee without a Health Care Aide certificate or its equivalent as determined by the Employer.
Care Aide certification (as set forth in Training Partnership curriculum) shall continue to receive a differential of twenty-five cents ($0.25) in addition to their hourly rate and differentials. Workers participating in Advanced Training will be paid their regular hourly rate of pay for all hours of training. It is the intent of the Employer to work with the Union on maximizing the number of workers that can be paid an Advanced Training differential. Employees who have completed Advanced Training (discontinued ion February 2017) to m eet apprenticeship standards beyond the training required to receive a valid “Home Care Aide” certification (as set forth in Training Partnership curriculum) shall continue to receive a differential of twenty-five cents ($0.25) cents in addition to their hourly rate and differentials. Workers participating in Advanced Training will be paid their regular hourly rate of pay for all hours of training. It is the intent of the Employer to work with the Union on maximizing the number of workers that can be paid an Advanced Training differential. Employees who complete the Advanced Home Care Aide Specialist (ACHAS) or Advanced Behavioral Home Care Aide Specialist (ABHCAS) Training (set forth in the Training Partnership Curriculum), as referenced in Article 21 – Training, shall receive a differential of twenty five cents ($0.25) seventy-five cents ($0.75) in addition to their hourly rate and other applicable differentials. Employees assigned by the Employer to receive AHCAS Training will meet criteria set forth in Article 21 – Training and must have completed their probationary period. Advanced Home Care Aide Specialist training shall be classified as the already existing Advanced training and shall not be a separate differential of its own classification. The Employer will honor completed Advanced Training and Advanced Home Care Aide Specialist training Advanced Home Care Aide Specialist training at the time of hire for new employees with verification of completion from the employee or the Training Partnership. The two Advanced Training differentials are not stackable.
Care Aide means an Employee without a Health Care Aide certificate or its equivalent as determined by Alberta Health Services.

Examples of Care Aide in a sentence

  • Recognition of previous experience will be on the basis of one (1) annual increment for each one (1) full year of service up to the maximum of the wage scale of the Health Care Aide job classification.

  • The parties agree to recognize the Personal Support Worker education accreditation as equivalent to the Health Care Aide course.

  • The parties further agree that this Letter of Understanding shall not cause the required qualifications of the Household Support Clerk to include the Health Care Aide certificate.

  • New employees may request credit for hours served as a Home Care Provider in a Medicaid program or who is currently certified as a Home Care Aide (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to have these hours of work credited to their cumulative careers hours (CCH) and be placed in the SLR wage scale accordingly.

  • Hospice means a public agency or private organization licensed pursuant to Chapter 400, Florida Statutes, to provide Hospice services. Such licensed entity must be principally engaged in providing pain relief, symptom management, and supportive services to terminally ill Members and their families.

  • Intensive Care Unit means an identified section, ward or wing of a hospital which is under the constant supervision of a dedicated medical practitioner(s), and which is specially equipped for the continuous monitoring and treatment of patients who are in a critical condition, or require life support facilities and where the level of care and supervision is considerably more sophisticated and intensive than in the ordinary and other wards.

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Care Plan means a licensee's written description of a resident's needs, preferences, and capabilities, including by whom, when, and how often care and services are to be provided.

  • Direct Patient Care means the provision of health care services provided directly to individuals being treated for or suspected of having physical or mental illnesses. Direct patient care includes both, face-to-face and telehealth-based preventative care and first-line supervision.

  • Specialty contractor means a person who is licensed to conduct business as described in subsection 4 of NRS 624.215.
