Cess definition

Cess means any applicable cess, existing or future on the supply of Goods and Services as per Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to States) Act, 2017.
Cess means the goods and services tax compensation cess levied under section 8;
Cess means an amount to be charged on lands benefited by flood protection and drainage works from owners/lease holders of such lands;

Examples of Cess in a sentence

  • Income Tax, Royalty, GST (CGST, SGST, IGST), Construction Workers' Welfare Cess, Labour Insurances EPF and similar other statutory levy / cess will have to be borne by the contractor/bidder and his/her quoted rate should be quoted accordingly after considering all these charges, and no separate payment towards any of the statutory taxes rents or levies shall be made by the work implementing authority.

  • Also, please mention separate applicable HSN / SAC Code and rate of GST and Cess as applicable for each item of Goods/Service.

  • GST, Royalty & all other statutory levy/ Cess will have to be borne by the contractor as per Govt.

  • Any statutory increase or decrease in the taxes and duties including GST and Cess as applicable or in the event of introduction of new tax/cess or cessation of existing tax/cess in the taxes subsequent to your offer if it takes place within the contract period will be UGVCL account subject to the claim being supported by documentary evidence.
