Telework means the performance of normal and regular work functions on a workday at a location

Telework means the performance of normal and regular work functions on a workday at a location different from the place where work functions are normally performed and that is within or closer to the participating employee’s residence. The term does not include home-based businesses, extensions of the workday, or work performed on a weekend or holiday.

Telework means the employer permits an employee to perform work while the employee is at home or at a location other than the employee’s normal workplace. An employee is able to telework if: his or her employer has work for the employee; the employer permits the employee to work from the employee’s location; and there are no extenuating circumstances (such as a serious COVID-19) symptoms) that prevents the employee from performing that at work.
