Class Policy definition

Class Policy or “Class Policies” means those policies issued to African-Americans by Liberty National Life Insurance Company on or before December 31, 1949, and those policies issued to African-Americans by Service Insurance Company of Alabama or Burial Service Insurance Company of Alabama during the period January 1, 1949 through January 10, 1966.

  • In the event of a dispute between the Company and a Class Member regarding that Class Member's status in the Class (e.g., premium-paying versus lapsed or terminated, or paid-up versus lapsed or terminated), or eligibility for relief herein, the Class Member may provide documentary evidence of payment of premiums on a Class Policy, or other documentary evidence, in order to establish the Class Member's status in the Class and entitlement to benefits.


More Definitions of Class Policy

Class Policy means any Policy for which an Owner is a Settlement Class Member. “Class Policies” means all of the Policies for which the Owners are Settlement Class Members.

Class Policy means any one of, and “Class Policies” means more 25 than one or all of, Living Life Policies for which a Class Member is the 26 policyowner and which were purchased within California between January 1, 27 28 - 6 - 1 2014 and the Stipulation Date. The following are excluded from Class Policies: 2 (a) Living Life Policies for which the insured is deceased; (b) Living Life Policies 3 on which a claim for a death benefit was made or paid prior to the Stipulation 4 Date; (c) Living Life Policies that were rescinded or not taken prior to the 5 Stipulation Date; (d) Living Life Policies on which a full‐election or partial‐ 6 election of any benefit under an Accelerated Benefits Rider (“ABR”) was made or 8 assigned to a non-Class Member prior to the Stipulation Date.
Class Policy or “Class Policies” means any JP Legend 300, JP Lifewriter Legend 100, 200, and 400 series, JP Legend 3000, LifeSight 30, LifeSight 31, LifeSight 32, JP UL 101, JP UL 102, JP UL 103, JP UL 130, JP UL 131, and Vision 20 life insurance policy subjected to an increase in the cost of insurance rates as announced by Xxxxxxx in 2016 or 2017, excluding the Excluded Policies. A list of the Class Policies is attached to this Agreement as Exhibit B.
Class Policy means any participating life insurance policy other than the Equity Series as set out in Appendix B of the Agreement, which was issued by London Life in Canada between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1995 and any Econolife Policy, which is in force as of the Court Approval Date (a “Current Class Policy”) or which has become a Lapsed or Surrendered Policy between January 1, 1992 and the Court Approval Date (a “Lapsed or Surrendered Class Policy”), but does not include those policies in respect of which Owners or Former Owners have released London Life from claims relating to Premium Offset or to any Acquisition of those policies, or those Owners or Former Owners who opt out of the Agreement as provided in either Article 5.1 or 5.2. For greater certainty, policies issued by The Prudential Insurance Company of America in Canada and assumed by London Life in 1996 are not Class Policies;
Class Policy or “Class Policies” means one or more individual universal life or variable universal life insurance policies issued by a Defendant, as to which Guaranteed Charges were applicable to the calculation of the deficiency and/or restatement amount, and which policy either entered into default or lapsed between July 18, 2013 and the date of Preliminary Approval, or which had default cured or was reinstated on or after July 18, 2013 and remains in force on the date of Preliminary Approval.
Class Policy or “Class Policies” means a policy or policies in the Class.
