Classification of Position definition

Classification of Position means a group of positions involving duties and responsibilities so similar that the same or like qualifications may reasonably be required for, and to which the same schedule or grade of pay can be reasonably applied to, all positions in the group;

  • Job Classification means an arrangement of tasks in an establishment or industry into a limited series of jobs or occupations, rated in terms of skill, responsibility, experience, training, and similar considerations, usually for wage setting purposes.
