Compensated Leave definition

Compensated Leave means the accumulation of time off with pay, whereby a full-time employee shall receive the regular rate of compensation although he/she does not report for duty. Compensated leave shall include the following provisions: Article 16. Holidays and Article 17.
Compensated Leave means that the Employee is allowed leave time and is compensated at the same rate of pay which he or she would have received had they worked a regular day of work for each day of leave time used by the Employee.

Examples of Compensated Leave in a sentence

  • Compensated Leave approval procedure for state and county jury service: School teachers are no longer exempt from serving as jurors (except in extenuating circumstances).

  • An internal service fund, Employee Compensated Leave Fund, was established to account for resources accumulated to provide for compensated absences for the Borough’s governmental activities.

  • Calculation of salary increases for those on Compensated Leave (Sabbatical) The salary increase for an employee returning from a sabbatical leave will be calculated using one of the two methods that follow: An individual on sabbatical and away from his/her position for a one-year sabbatical will be entitled to a salary increase for the year subsequent to his/her return to his/her position based on the average of his/her job performance ratings during the most recent three years.

  • The equivalent of Ten (10) Eight (8) hour days of Compensated Leave to the Employee over and above the Compensated Leave as such Compensated Leave is defined in Section 9.128.010(F) hereof.

Related to Compensated Leave

  • Compensated time means, with respect to an employee, any time worked by or credited to the employee that counts toward any minimum work time requirement imposed as a condition of his or her employment, but for purposes of this Ordinance, does not include any designated holidays, vacation periods, personal time, compensatory time off or any period when the employee is on a leave of absence. With respect to officers or employees whose hours are not fixed, "compensated time" includes any period of time when the officer is on premises under the control of the employer and any other time when the officer or employee is executing his or her official duties, regardless of location.

  • Excess Compensation means Compensation in excess of the following Integration Level: (Choose (1) or (2))

  • Annual leave and Clause 6.3 “Personal (Sick) Leave” of this Agreement.

  • Total Compensation means the cash and noncash dollar value earned by the executive during the Subcontractor’s preceding fiscal year and includes the following (for more information see 17 CFR 229.402(c)(2)):

  • Gross compensation means every form of remuneration payable for a given period to an individual for services provided including salaries, commissions, vacation pay, severance pay, bonuses, and any board, rent, housing, lodging, payments in kind, and any similar benefit received from the individual's employer.
