Leave Time. During the Employment Period, Employee shall be entitled to paid vacation and leave days each calendar year in accordance with the leave policies established by Employer from time to time. Any leave time not used during each fiscal year of Employer may be carried over into the next year to the extent permitted by Employer policy.
Leave Time. All leave requests shall be submitted via chain of command and are subject to the approval of the Department Chief or his designee. In the event of a peace officer's death, compensation for any unused accrued leave will be paid to the person listed as beneficiary in the City provided life insurance policy.
Leave Time. During the Employment Period, Employer shall allow Employee thirty eight (38) days of paid time off each year for vacation, illness, injury, personal days or other similar purposes in accordance with Employer’s policies in effect from time to time (prorated for periods of less than a calendar year). Any paid time off not used during each calendar year may be carried over into the next year to the extent permitted by Employer’s policies in effect from time to time.
Leave Time. 1. This article is intended to encourage teacher attendance, but is in no way intended to suggest that teachers should work in the classroom when ill. Teachers are expected to utilize professional judgment in determining how this leave time should be utilized.
1.1 Each teacher will be allotted up to ten (10) days paid annual leave per school year for illness or personal use. Unused leave time may be accumulated from year to year for purposes as set forth in the paid leave time section of this Agreement.
1.2 Advanced leave requests shall be submitted at least three (3) full contract days prior to the first day of leave. Foreseeable absences submitted fewer than three (3) full contract days prior to the first day of leave may be denied if no legally qualified substitute is available.
1.3 Teachers that are not present on 12-hour day conferences will be charged 4 hours leave if missing the morning session, 4 hours leave if missing the afternoon session, 4 hours if missing the evening session, and 12 hours leave if missing the entire day.
1.4 Paid leave time may be accumulated only to a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) days and shall include the amount allotted for the current year.
1.5 Each teacher will be allotted up to three (3) contract days paid bereavement leave for each death in the teacher’s immediate family and stepfamily (parent, sibling, child, spouse, grandparent, grandchild, guardian, resident of the household; or same relative of the teacher’s spouse).
1.6 Teachers employed part-time or less than a full-time contract year or who fail to complete the contractual year will have leave time prorated.
1.7 Teachers will be credited with leave entitlement effective the first day of their contract year for each school year. Effective the last day of the current academic year, unused leave days remaining from those credited at the beginning of the academic year may be accumulated, at the teacher’s option, as defined in this Agreement or be taken in the form of pay in lieu of time off. This payment shall be made to the teacher by the end of June, at the current daily certified substitute rate of pay (JSOC teachers will be paid at the JSOC daily certified substitute rate of pay).
1.8 In the event that a teacher has used the allotted annual ten (10) leave days, the teacher may use up to three days from his/her accumulated leave for personal leave. These personal leave days are subject to approval of the building administrator and should be requested at lea...
Leave Time. 1. Leave time shall include sick leave, maternity leave, bereavement leave, paternity leave, and marital leave. Any leave time taken by the Resident will constitute time lost from the Residency program and will further constitute a significant factor in determining specialty board eligibility and certification. The Resident may obtain a copy of specialty board requirements from his/her Program or directly from the specialty board’s website. Program Directors will review with their Residents the implications of taking leave in the context of satisfying specialty board requirements. The Resident’s Program Director shall also determine whether the Resident has satisfactorily completed the Residency Program in accordance with specialty board requirements. Leave time taken by the Resident during the year that exceeds the amount allowed by the Resident’s specialty board shall be made up in accordance with residency program requirements. The Resident agrees to review his/her applicable specialty board requirements from time to time in order to understand the impact that excessive leave will have upon the Resident’s board eligibility or ability to successfully complete the residency program. The Resident understands and agrees that he/she is not automatically entitled to additional training beyond the number of years required for his/her program and that any extension of training time must be approved by the Chief Financial Officer, Program Director, the Director of Medical Education, and the Graduate Medical Education Committee or its appointed ad hoc committee.
Leave Time. Effective July 1, 2002, based upon assignment, each full-time employee shall earn 130.5 hours of leave annually and may accumulate these to an unlimited number. (This number shall include previously accumulated sick leave.) Leave will be prorated for employees working less than full-time. Leave may be used for illness of the employee/the employee’s family, or personal business. At no time will leave be used for recreational or vacation purposes. The employee shall notify their supervisor prior to taking leave. Except in the case of illness or emergency, the employee shall notify their supervisor as much in advance as possible, but not less than 24 hours prior to taking leave. Leave Time. There shall be no leave time accrual for employees on a no pay status except in compliance with State or Federal statutes.
Section 1: Holidays - The holiday is defined as from 12:01 AM through Midnight on the day the holiday is observed. The following twelve (12) days are declared to be holidays:

A. Holiday Closing of City Offices - All state, county and city offices, courts, banks savings and loan associations, public schools and the University of Nevada System must close on the legal holidays pursuant to NRS 236.015 unless in the case of appointed holidays, all or a part thereof are specifically exempted.
Leave Time. If an employee covered by this SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT is on approved paid leave on a scheduled day of work, the employee shall use the same number of hours accrued leave as the number of hours of scheduled duty hours absent from work.
Leave Time. An employee who is unable to reach his/her assigned work station will have the option of using unused miscellaneous leave, compensatory time, or vacation time, if available, or unpaid personal leave.

Employees working part time (an awarded package of greater than 20 hours and less than 30 hours) shall receive 7 days of leave annually.
