Construction Index definition

Construction Index means the Engineering News-Record Building Cost Index for the City of Los Angeles. If this index ceases to be published, the Construction Index shall be another index which is determined by the Administrator to be reasonably comparable to such index.
Construction Index means the All-in Tender Price Index published by the Building Cost Information Service of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or such other index as the County Council may reasonably nominate in the event that the All-in Tender Price Index shall no longer be published or its name or methodology be materially altered
Construction Index means the most recent issue of the “Dodge Construction Index for U.S. and Canadian Cities” for the city located closest to the property in question or, if such index is no longer published, such other index as is certified to be comparable and appropriate by the Hospital Corporation Representative in a certificate delivered to the Bond Trustee.

Construction Index means the Engineering News Record Construction Cost Index (Dallas), as issued by the Engineering News Record, or such other index as may be selected by the Authority from time to time.

  • Construction industry means the work activity designated in sector group 23 - construction of the North American classification system - United States Office of Management and Budget, 1997 edition.

  • Construction Contractor means a person who undertakes to or offers to undertake to, or purports to have the capacity to undertake to, or submits a bid to, or does himself or by or through others, construct, alter, repair, add to, subtract from, improve, move, wreck, or demolish any building, highway, road, railroad, excavation, or other structure, project, development, or improvement to real property, or to do any part thereof. "Construction contractor" includes subcontractors, specialty contractors, prime contractors, and any person receiving consideration for the general supervision and/or coordination of such a construction project except for remediation contracting. This definition shall govern without regard to whether or not the construction contractor is acting in fulfillment of a contract.
