County seniority definition

County seniority means the employee's seniority as defined in Article VIII, Section A - Seniority.
County seniority means length of service as measured by an employee's continuous service date. “Day” means calendar day.
County seniority is the length of an Employee’s continuous service with the County.

Examples of County seniority in a sentence

  • Time during which an employee receives workers' compensation temporary disability benefits shall be counted toward the computation of County seniority and determination of healthcare leave, vacation and annual leave earning rates.

  • The nurse shall be provided a new date of hire for purposes of County seniority.

  • Time during which an employee receives workers' compensation temporary disability benefits shall be counted toward the computation of County seniority and determination of sick leave, vacation or annual leave earning rates.

  • If there is no such vacancy, the employee shall be eligible to utilize County seniority to bump the least senior employee in their former classification in the county where the employee worked prior to the promotion.

  • Time during which an employee receives workers' compensation temporary disability benefits shall be counted toward the computation of County seniority and determination of annual leave, sick leave, and/or vacation earning rates.

  • In the event these steps create circular displacement, or chains of displacement, the County shall use the step that provides pay equal to the one the employee would have attained if the employee had bumped at the first step available and that is the least disruptive to employees as a whole and most respectful to County seniority.

  • Classification Seniority is defined as the length of service in a specific job classification within the bargaining unit, beginning with the date an employee starts to serve a probationary appointment. Classification Seniority shall be interrupted only by separation because of resignation, discharge for just cause, failure to return upon expiration of a leave of absence, failure to respond to a recall from layoff, or retirement.

  • County clerk means the county clerk or the county official in charge of elections.

  • County Manager means the County Manager or his designee.

  • County Superintendent means the Executive County Superintendent of Schools designated by the Department of Education for this school district.
