CTE pathway definition

CTE pathway means a planned CTE/academic continuum of courses within a CTE field beginning in the ninth grade and continuing with post secondary training which culminates in an associate degree, apprenticeship, certificate of completion, or baccalaureate degree.
CTE pathway means an OSSE-approved sequence of at least 4 nonduplicative career education courses or content at the secondary level that incorporates technical, academic, and employability knowledge and skills.

Examples of CTE pathway in a sentence

  • CTE Authorization applicants with less than a Bachelor’s degree are required to document four thousand (4,000) hours of work experience in the dependent CTE pathway and the work experience must align with the dependent CTE pathway.

  • The Career Coach implements the middle school career advisory program for students in grades 6-8 and supports middle school students in choosing a post-college and career pathway to include a CTE pathway, an AP pathway, or dual enrollment.

  • Career & Technical Education Authorization with at least a Bachelor's Degree: CTE Authorization applicants with at least a Bachelor’s degree are required to document two thousand (2,000) hours of work experience in the dependent CTE pathway.

  • A CTE pathway is a sequence of two or more CTE courses within a student's area of career interest.

  • Professional employees given full credit for all complete years of teaching, as described above, shall not be eligible to receive credit for prior work experience provided by section (f) below, regardless of whether the professional employee is teaching a course in a CTE pathway.
