Distributed Renewable Energy definition

Distributed Renewable Energy means a Distributed Generator powered by sustainable renewable energy or alternative renewable energy supplying electric power to an electric power service company or generated for self- consumption or for sale to third-parties. Community Solar projects are considered distributed renewable energy at the residential level.
Distributed Renewable Energy. (DRE) means the electricity fed into the electric system at a voltage level of below 33 KV using distributed renewable energy generation system or such other forms of renewable sources as may be approved by the Commission from time to time or as recognized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India.
Distributed Renewable Energy means Distributed Generation powered by Renewable Resources which generates electric power for self-consumption, sale to third-parties or to supply an Electric Service Company.

More Definitions of Distributed Renewable Energy

Distributed Renewable Energy means the electricity generated from Renewable sources of energy, near the point of use instead of centralized generation power plants that are less than 10 MW in size and shall include solar installations under all configurations (net metering, gross metering, virtual net metering, group net metering, behind the meter installations and any other configuration) notified by the Central Government.

  • Distributed Generation means generating plant equipment collectively used for generating electricity that is connected, or proposed to be connected, to the Network or a Customer's Installation, but does not include:

  • Renewable energy facility means an electric generation unit or other facility or installation that produces electric energy using a Renewable Energy Source.

  • Renewable energy resource means a resource that naturally replenishes over a human, not a geological, time frame and that is ultimately derived from solar power, water power, or wind power. Renewable energy resource does not include petroleum, nuclear, natural gas, or coal. A renewable energy resource comes from the sun or from thermal inertia of the earth and minimizes the output of toxic material in the conversion of the energy and includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

  • Electric distribution company (EDC) means any electric utility subject to the jurisdiction of the Commission.

  • Eligible Renewable Energy Resource or “ERR” has the meaning set forth in California Public Utilities Code Section 399.12 and California Public Resources Code Section 25741, as either code provision is amended or supplemented from time to time.

  • Cogeneration unit means a unit that has equipment used to produce electric energy and forms of useful thermal energy (such as heat or steam) for industrial, commercial, heating or cooling purposes, through the sequential use of energy.

  • Renewable Energy Credit has the meaning set forth in California Public Utilities Code Section 399.12(h) and CPUC Decision 00-00-000, as may be amended from time to time or as further defined or supplemented by Law.

  • Rechargeable Electrical Energy Storage System (REESS) means the rechargeable energy storage system that provides electric energy for electrical propulsion.

  • Renewable Energy Credits means a certificate, credit, allowance, green tag, or other transferable indicia, howsoever entitled, allocated, assigned or otherwise awarded or certified by any Governmental Authority, program administrator, certification board or similar entity in connection with the production or generation of each MWh of energy from the Project. For the avoidance of doubt, “Renewable Energy Credits” shall not include any ITC, State Renewable Energy Incentives or other tax benefits, credits, or incentives.
