Distribution of Proceeds. A faculty member who creates a work and retains an intellectual property interest in such work in which the district maintains intellectual-property rights is entitled to share in royalties, licenses, and any other payments from commercialization of the work in accordance with applicable agreements and applicable laws. This would include course textbooks, packs, software, and other instructional materials (Education Code section 76365 and California Code of Regulations, Title 5, section 59400, et seq.).
