Engine Basic Shop Visit definition

Engine Basic Shop Visit means, with respect to each Engine, any shop visit that (1) fully restores such Engine’s performance and service life using a workscope defined in accordance with recommendations and soft time limits of the then current version of the Engine Manufacturer’s workscope planning guide, such that such Engine can reasonably be expected (as determined by the Engine Manufacturer if Lessor and Lessee fail to agree) to run for the average meantime between performance restorations (based on Engine Manufacturer data) for engines of the same model as the Engine; and (2) results in a minimum life remaining on each Life-Limited Part in such Engine of 3,500 Engine Flight Cycles.
Engine Basic Shop Visit means, with respect to any Engine, any shop visit, as defined by Engine Manufacturer that is based on an approved program of condition monitoring and trend monitoring of performance deterioration requiring complete disassembly, inspection and repair of any module of such Engine or a whole Engine that results in a minimum of 3,500 cycles of operation remaining on each of the life limited Parts in such Engine and with an attempt to restore performance to a level consistent with Engine Manufacturer's specifications upon the completion of the shop visit.
Engine Basic Shop Visit means, with respect to each Engine, a major engine shop visit performed by an Agreed Maintenance Performer which: (a) results in performance restoration of the Engine; (b) requires the disassembly, repair and performance restoration refurbishment of the HPC, HPT and Combustor modules of the Engine, and the inspection, teardown, disassembly and repair, refurbishment or overhaul as and if required (as dictated by inspection or engine trend monitoring and the Engine Manufacturer’s shop manual limits) of each of the other modules of the Engine, all in accordance with the Engine Manufacturer’s then current CFM56-5B Workscope Planning Guide requirements and recommendations; and (c) results in each LLP having sufficient cyclic life remaining and each Airworthiness Directive having sufficient clearance period to its next due date to match the expected on-wing performance life in terms of Engine hours and cycles (in line with industry MTBR and MCBR as published by the Engine Manufacturer) for such Engine after such shop visit.
