Condition Monitoring. In Europe, investigations have been done to improve the reliability of gearboxes by making more use of condition monitoring techniques, for example the EU project CONMOW [59]. The project showed that presently available drive train monitoring systems operate reliably over a longer period. It was demonstrated that these systems are able to detect (1) component errors at an early stage, and (2) off-design conditions such as shaft misalignment. An assessment whether the measurements exceeded critical levels and a prognosis of the remaining life could not be made due to insufficient knowledge of the degradation. In fact a large number of failures need to be observed first before the prognoses of degradation can be made for future failures. The overall conclusion was that condition monitoring systems are able to mitigate the consequences of damage, but do not reduce the number of failures. It was concluded that the reliability of gearboxes can only be improved if the gearboxes are designed to withstand the load spectra that actually occur. This means that, on the one hand, the resistance of the gearboxes to withstand the loads should be adequate (a.o. detailed design of gear wheels and housing, manufacturing procedures, design and selection of bearings, selection of lubrication, cooling, and filtration); on the other hand the methods to define the loads acting on the drive trains should be improved.
Condition Monitoring. The DLG will prepare a condition report upon receipt of the Materials, and another condition report upon completion of the digitization process. In the event of damage to (or loss of) the Materials, the DLG will promptly notify Partner and take appropriate actions to prevent further damage. The DLG will not apply conservation measures, or alter the Materials in any way, without the express written permission of Partner.

Condition Monitoring. Local monitoring is centralised on a common local instrument panel. The following indications are provided as a minimum:  Air delivery pressure.  Temperature and flow transmitters.  Lubricating oil pressure.  Temperature and oil filter pressure drop (if applicable).  Motor running current (preferably power) and running hours.  Vibration monitoring.  Intake filter pressure drop.  User consumption monitoring using flow transmitters.  Any other required by virtue of the design.
Condition Monitoring. Notice! The Condition Monitoring feature is only available in Germany together with a service agreement with ST-BT. If the Condition Monitoring feature was activated via the remote programming software FSP-5000-RPS data of relevant LSN devices and FPA-5000 modules are collected and sent to a central management server system (CMS) where they can be analyzed in order to offer customers preventive services. In the Condition Monitoring window you find information concerning the feature:
