Environment and Social Management Framework definition

Environment and Social Management Framework or “ESMF” means the framework adopted by the Borrower on September 15, 2005, describing the environmental and social planning, review, approval, mitigation, monitoring, training, technical advisory and other services, and institutional measures under the Project referred to in paragraph D of Schedule 4 to this Agreement;

Environment and Social Management Framework means the Recipient’s framework, dated January 28, 2008, agreed with the Association and setting out mitigation, enhancement, monitoring, and institutional measures, including capacity building through training, that have been identified by the Recipient to eliminate any adverse environmental and social impacts of Subproject activities, offset them, or reduce them to acceptable levels, or enhance positive impacts, as the same may be modified from time to time with the prior written concurrence of the Association, and such term includes any schedules or annexes to said Framework.

Environment and Social Management Framework or “ESMF” means the framework adopted by the Recipient on March 2, 2009, describing the environmental and social planning, review, approval, mitigation, monitoring, training, technical assistance, and institutional measures under the Project referred to in Section 2.05 of the Annex to this Agreement.

Environment and Social Management Framework means the mitigations, enhancement, monitoring and institutional measures prepared by the Recipient and dated March 3 2007 to be taken during design and implementation of Project activities including activities financed by Grants to eliminate any adverse environmental and social impacts, offset the, or reduce them to acceptable levels or to enhance positive impacts, including a plan of actions needed to implement such measures.

Environment and Social Management Framework means the environment and social management framework to be adopted by the Recipient for the implementation of the Project in accordance with Section V (vii) of Schedule 2 to this Agreement, containing, inter alia, procedures and guidelines for: (i) the assessment of the environmental and social risks of the activities to be carried out under the Project, (ii) the definition and implementation of measures to mitigate such risks, (iii) monitoring the environmental and social impacts of the activities carried out under the Project, and (iv) strengthening institutional capacities as and when needed.

Environment and Social Management Framework means the document entitled “Plan de Gestion Environnementale et Sociale du Projet Intérimaire des Transports” prepared by Groupement pour l’Aménagement et la Gestion des Forêts et de l’Environnement at the request of the Recipient and dated January 2004.
