Environment and Social Management Framework definition

Environment and Social Management Framework or “ESMF” means the framework adopted by the Borrower on September 15, 2005, describing the environmental and social planning, review, approval, mitigation, monitoring, training, technical advisory and other services, and institutional measures under the Project referred to in paragraph D of Schedule 4 to this Agreement;
Environment and Social Management Framework or “ESMF” means the framework adopted by the Recipient on March 2, 2009, describing the environmental and social planning, review, approval, mitigation, monitoring, training, technical assistance, and institutional measures under the Project referred to in Section 2.05 of the Annex to this Agreement.
Environment and Social Management Framework means the Recipient’s framework, dated January 28, 2008, agreed with the Association and setting out mitigation, enhancement, monitoring, and institutional measures, including capacity building through training, that have been identified by the Recipient to eliminate any adverse environmental and social impacts of Subproject activities, offset them, or reduce them to acceptable levels, or enhance positive impacts, as the same may be modified from time to time with the prior written concurrence of the Association, and such term includes any schedules or annexes to said Framework.
