Environmental and Social Framework definition

Environmental and Social Framework means the Borrower’s Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework which sets out, inter alia: (i) key principles for social and environmental management of the Project; (ii) procedures to screen activities under the Project for significant social and environmental impacts, and to assist in mitigating impacts; (iii) procedures to ensure that these principles and procedures are properly applied; and (iv) procedures for mine risk management;
Environmental and Social Framework or “ESF” means the framework, dated July 3, 2003, in form and substance satisfactory to the Association, describing measures for the mitigation of the potential environmental and social impact of the Project, as the same may be updated from time to time with the approval of the Association, used as the basis for preparation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (as hereinafter defined);
Environmental and Social Framework means the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework that comprises a “Vision for Sustainable Development”, the “World Bank Environmental and Social Policy for Investment Project Financing” and the “Environmental and Social Standards”.

Environmental and Social Framework means the World Bank Environmental and Social
Environmental and Social Framework or “ESF” means the Environmental and Social Framework adopted on January 19, 2002, by the Recipient and REB (as hereinafter defined) detailing the measures proposed to address the adverse environmental and social impact of investments under the Project;

Environmental and Social Framework means the document entitled as such and furnished by the Borrower to the Association by its letter dated ˛November 17, 1998, satisfactory to the Association, as such document may be amended from time to time with the concurrence of the Association;
Environmental and Social Framework means the World Bank’s framework of the same name approved by the Bank’s Board of Executive Directors on August 4, 2016.
Environmental and Social Framework means the framework instrument, including a social impact management framework dated August 2007 and an environmental impact management framework, dated April 2010, adopted by the Recipient, and referred to in Section I.C of Schedule 2 to this Agreement, which sets forth principles and procedures, and mitigation, enhancement, monitoring, and institutional measures, to avoid or mitigate potential adverse environmental and social impacts resulting from the Project, or reduce them to acceptable levels, or enhance positive impacts, as the same may be modified from time to time with the prior written agreement of the Association, and such term includes any schedules or annexes to such framework.
