EV Ready definition

EV Ready means the design and construction of a parking space with the necessary infrastructure, including conduit, wiring and any special circuitry needed to easily receive the installation of a Level 2 charger.

EV Ready. (or “EV Readiness”) means that a parking space features an energized outlet capable of level 2 charging, via installation of dedicated circuits or an electric vehicle energy management system (EVEMS). Electric vehicle supply equipment is not required at the time of development. See terminology section below for full definitions.

EV Ready means a parking space that is pre-wired with a dedicated 208/240 branch circuit installed in conduit that originates at the electrical service panel or sub-panel and 40 ampere minimum overcurrent protection device, and terminates into a cabinet, box or enclosure, in a manner approved by the building official.
